Oh Me Oh My..
I worked a 16 hour shift last night for the first (and if I'm smart, the last) time. While I was working my back started to annoy me. At lunch time I was stretching a little and it really hurt! I took some advil and ignored it. Later that night when I was leaving I took some more advil because when I went to the bathroom and bent down to pull up my pants I felt so much pain, it was terrible! I tried to straighten up and it just hurt... constant pain in the mid left side of my back. I could barely breathe, walk, sit, stand, or talk. I just wanted to go home, but I got outside and realized I probably couldn't sit in my car that long. So, what's a girl to do when she's already at the hospital? Go to the ED. SO, I went reluctantly but my reluctance was defeated by the terrible pain growing in my back. I filled out the paperwork waited in a room, went to another room where I answered questions, then waited in another room. Finally I was taken back to a "room" with a curtain for a door where I was told to put on a hospital gown and I waited some more. I was overcome with chills shaking my body from head to toe. I covered up in a sheet and waited. Finally, I was seen by a doctor, I peed in a cup, blood was stolen from my body, and I was rolled in my bed to get a chest xray. I know that's what I thought... Chest xray? IT'S MY BACK! But in the xray they found a slight infection in my lungs. So, I was rolled back to my room where I waited falling in and out of sleep. (A sweet ER tech gave me a pillow and warm blanket.) So, I left with Rxs for a muscle relaxer and an antibiotic. I guess I just pulled a muscle in my back, but it HURTS! Daniel is currently at Rex getting said Rxs filled. Of course they were closed last night and didn't open until 1:00 today... So, still I am waiting in pain... and now on top of my killer back pain I keep trying to sneeze... this is a terrible combination. I just hope I don't start coughing until after my back is better. On an interesting note, I don't get any leave hours until Wednesday so, somehow I am supposed to go to work taking three muscle relaxers a day and an antibiotic. I can't miss work. I just don't know what to do. Also, I picked up and extra day this week that forces me to get off at 11pm the previous day only to return at 7am. What is wrong with me??? I was just desperate for some extra hours I guess...

Whaaa?!!? A date? Hooray!
We went to see the new Harry Potter movie at 3:00 and it was sold out. So, we bought tickets for the 5:30 showing and went to the mall to kill time. We stopped at Z Gallerie first, my favorite store! I found many things that I love and we left the store quickly.
Then we stopped at Brookstone and got our feets massaged. :)

Bye Bye Meat
So, I have decided to stop eating meat. Not because animals are my best friends or anything similar, but because I was never that fond of meat and it's not really any good for you. Sure it's a good source of protein, but there are better options for protein. That is not all I am giving up... I am actually going to try to be a vegan (with the exception of chocolate and maybe the occasional milkshake indulgence). :) Here are a few of my options lately.
Rice and black bean bowl from work. This was delicious! I added pico de gayo and corn salsa.
I think this is called Tabouleth. It was... interesting definitely a one timer.
Oh my.. this was my first veggie burger and it was amazing! I added lettuce, onions, and Remington Grill sauce. MMM! Yeah, I got a veggie burger from work and it was held together by cheese... bleh it made me a little sick.

Live to Work...Lame
Not much going on lately. I worked 4 days this week. It wasn't too bad. Now my three days off I have to clean up... I have let the house get away from me again. I am enjoying my new car. It is perfect for what I need right now. It gets good gas mileage and it is a perfect size. Last night I decided to braid my hair for bed. I always loved that the women in movies such as pride and prejudice and sense and sensibility do that. The result was nice too. I got some nice curls and all i did was a french braid. :)

A Word from the Unwise
I don't even know if unwise is a word... but that is what I was today. I went walkjogging today.Walkjog is what someone who is not physically fit enough to just jog. You jog a little you walk a little. Well, today I decided to go on my walk at 1:00 in the afternoon. I took Daisy with me as usual. I didn't drink any water before I left and I didn't take any with me because I already had a leash in one hand I didn't want to carry two things. Well, I started off pretty good. I stretched and I was power walking you know how you walk when you're in a store on black friday and you see what you want but there's only one left on the shelf? Yeah that was my pace. Then I'd jog then I'd go back to my shopping pace. Well, about 1/4 of the way into my 2 mile walk I realized how hot the sun felt, but I just tried to shake it off and listen harder to my Harry Potter audio book. Then I started noticing how dry my mouth was. I started to freak out a little halfway through my walk with a mile to go before I got home (I walk in a triangle). By this time I started thinking of whatever I could do to get water or out of the sun seeing as 7/8 of my walk is shadeless. I cut the corner at the top point of my triangular route. By this point there is a small gas station in view. I started thinking of ways I could convince the owner to give me a bottle of water and pay him later finally I had decided I would leave Daisy with him while I drank my water and went home to get my wallet (my house is behind this store about a 3 minute walk). By the time I reached the trees near the gas station I was desperate. I put my hair into a tighter bun and rubbed my swollen hands. My face was boiling. I stood there for a minute or so just happy to be in the shade. I set off again and by the time I reached the gas station I convinced myself to just go home. The gas station has a lot of shady characters and I was a girl all alone in a cami and some soffee shorts... not a brilliant idea to go waltzing in a shady place soaked with sweat.. I walked past the gas station and decided to cut through the yard in front of mine to get home a little quicker this route is semi in the woods, but for some reason there was NO SHADE! I just knew I wasn't going to make it and my body would be found in the woods hours later and someone would suggest foul play. Luckily.. I did make it home. Daisy went immediately to her bowl and let her tongue just rest in the water and I layed on the floor... not a good idea at all! All of the blood in my body rushed to my already swollen and burning face making it scorching hot. I sat up and went to the bathroom so I could sit in my cold bath tub. This would have worked if Daisy hadn't jumped into my clean bath water when it was halfway full. I couldn't even make her get out. So I emptied the tub pulled the shower head down to the bottom and sat in the tub with cold water coming out of the shower head it was heaven... I couldn't stand up for fear of passing out.. finally I cooled off and was a bit more stable. All of this to say... don't go walking in the middle of summer at the hottest time of the day with no shade and no water... it is for lack of a better work... IDIOTIC! :)
Yeah I told you my face was red and that is not sunburn that's from laying down. Poor Daisy in the background.

Oden
So, yesterday when Daniel and I went to look at the Suzuki Reno and we saw a sign: Lab puppies for sale. So, naturally on our way back... we stopped. And then Daniel was in love. His name is Oden. He is 7 weeks old. He is absolutely precious and stubborn perfect for my Daniel. I am so happy that Daniel has found a buddy. More to come.
On the way home with the new baby

On the way home with the new baby
Oh YA!
So, today after LOTS of running around... I successfully purchased a car. It was a rough process, but I did it! :) I am so happy the process is over. Tomorrow I have to take my Buick (because I traded it) and pick up my new 2004 Saturn Ion! :) YAY! I then have to add it to my insurance and go to an AT&T store to try to apply my discount and get 3G reconnected. But wait there's more! Hahaha. I also have to clean the Buick out before I take it AND clean my house. I am not THAT excited about my last day off before my work week... busy busy busy.
I decided to go ahead and add pictures from the day I picked up the car too! Mmm new car smell!
My last drive in my Buick. It was a good car.

Random Pictures
This is a random iPhone picture update.
YAY Straight hair!! It's been a really long time since I last straightened my hair. I forgot how much I like it. :)

Mmmm have you ever seen such a beautiful car?

This is Leila! She was my 13th birthday present. She is getting sooo old look at that white face. She still lives with my mom and dad.

Ooops hehe where's Waldo?

JELLY BEANS! I had to take a picture because my Mommy-in-law was looking everywhere for them and I found them at Wally World! :)

I told you this would be random.

Vroom Vroom
So, my sweet Daniel and I went to look at a car today. It took us over an hour to get there and... it had a salvaged title... woo hoo. We've been pre-approved for a bank loan and this prevents us from buying a car with a salvaged title.. which is a good thing. The funniest part was when we were walking into the 'office' (small trailer) a person driving by yelled out their window "DON'T BUY A CAR FROM THEM!". HAHAHAHAA We test drove two of them one had a slipping clutch and the other had some odd cosmetic issues. Needless to say... I didn't find a car today. :) I have 10 cars I will be going to look at tomorrow with Jenny and Evan. This should be.. interesting to say the least. Until tomorrow.
Hot Dog Salad
So, my dachshund Daisy has the worst flea problem! Well, I guess I should say HAD. My mom has been crazy about apple cider vinegar and it's helpful uses and remedies. What does vinegar have to do with fleas? Glad you asked! After I give Daisy a bath I take a cotton ball and soak it in acv and dab it on her hot spots ex: behind ears, arm pits, back, belly. You know what the crazy part is? Once there were small colonies of fleas living on my poor pitiful Daisy, now... she is flea free! I mean completely flea free and it lasted for over a week! Better than ANY flea product I have tried! The only side effect is your dog will smell like a salad. :) I, myself, am enjoying my little hot dog salad and she is so much happier! I hope this helps you!

In Law
Today after a wonderful sermon and Sunday school class I went to Mayflower with Granny and Gail. Ate fried flounder and fries. Then we went shopping and they bought me a sheet set and two pillows for my spare bed and they got Daniel some work pants. It was lots of fun. :) Kinda tired. Later.

Blogger
Well, obviously I am a terrible blogger. I will try and give an update even though there isn't much to update you with. This isn't so much for people I don't know to get enjoyment out of my life. I blog moreso to leave behind what life was like when I was 'younger' I want to have something to remind myself and to show my kids one day.
So in the missing few days. I have started becoming friends with Jacob's girlfriend Jenny. We went to the beach and a few days ago celebrated her 16th birthday! I love having Jacob and Jenny over they are super cute together. I have never seen a girl love Jacob like Jenny does. It is precious. And instead of being embarrassed by his jokes and silliness she loves him even more for it. :) I hope they stay together forever. That sort of seems like a childish thing to say, but it's true. Well, other than spending time with Jacob and Jenny. Daniel and I haven't done much else.
We are having car trouble. My car refuses to be inspected and seeing as now it is 6 months past the expiration of it's last inspection.. we have to buy a new car. I have been approved for a loan and we are waiting until pay day to go get a car. We are waiting only because we currently do not have the gas money to go anywhere other than work. Ok I truly think that is all. Who knows I may go back and fill in gaps from the past few days. I really cannot believe it is already July. Daniel and I are both working July 4th and I will be more than happy to welcome the holiday pay on the next pay check. :) Signing off for now.
